About this role

The Accounts and Compliance Manager oversees business and contractor licensing across multiple states, centralized billing portal administration, international compliance support, and accounts receivable performance. This role reduces operational and financial risk, strengthens cash flow, drives process standardization, and supports ALC’s expanding domestic and international project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow Improvement-

• Improve cash flow by coordinating collections and cash applications efforts between Carrier Business Services, local branches, and customers.
• Enhance customer experience by streamlining communication, dispute resolution.
• Monitor AR trends, escalate risk indicators, and drive accountability across contributing teams.

Licensing & Regulatory Compliance-

• Manage all business and contractor licenses across the organization, ensuring timely renewals, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation.
• Lead the transition of licensing responsibilities from the Carrier Contracts team; establish a standardized, scalable licensing management process.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and reporting for internal audits, regulatory reviews, and customer compliance requirements.
• Provide oversight and coordination for international business activities, including licensing, tax considerations, and regulatory compliance requirements.

International Compliance

• Coordinate with diverse functions across the Carrier Organization, including Tax, Treasury, and Business Development, and Global Service Accounts to ensure that mechanisms are in place and compliant for the execution of projects outside of North America.

Other Responsibilities

• Perform additional duties as assigned that support business operations, compliance readiness, and cross-functional initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree
• 2+ years of experience in licensing business compliance OR State/Municipal Business/Contracting Licensure OR Paralegal/legal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Understanding of multi‑state business and contractor licensing requirements.
• Strong understanding of AR processes and cash-flow drivers.
• Experience supporting international operations.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Familiarity with construction contracting.
• Experience developing business processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with regulatory interpretation and ERP systems.
