The Manufacturing Supervisor provides onsite leadership to a manufacturing/ assembly operation at the Carrier Transicold Athens facility. Take responsibility for all aspects associated with effectively producing products that exceed our customer expectations in a high paced environment.

The Manufacturing Supervisor reports to the Operations Business Unit Manager.

This is a first shift onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead production departments to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations while maintaining 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Manage daily resources, including scheduling, overtime, and absenteeism, within budget.
  • Monitor production goals throughout the day and resolve operational gaps as they arise.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage employee training through skills matrices.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools like Kaizens, 5-Whys, and Standard Work.
  • Coordinate with various departments and management to support deadline-driven operations.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work flexible hours to meet manufacturing demands.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical experience.
  • Ability to lead a team with a positive attitude, handle change well, and communicate clearly with everyone from workers to managers.
  • Organized and driven to hit production deadlines, even when the work is complex or requires staying late.
  • Familiar with basic OSHA safety rules, such as machine guarding, electrical safety, and locking out equipment.
  • Proven ability to stay calm and polite under pressure while working with different departments and customers.
  • Comfortable using email and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
