Job Summary 

This position supervises a team of support and/or production-level employees, including hourly and direct staff, within Manufacturing Operations. The Supervisor is responsible for setting day-to-day activities and monitoring production operations, maintenance, plant engineering, and scheduling for an assigned manufacturing cell. 

This role is onsite in Charlotte, NC

Key Responsibilities 

  • Daily Operations: Manages the daily performance of a single manufacturing cell to ensure production targets are met. 

  • Quality Control: Ensures all quality-related items for the cell are completed and documented in accordance with established quality standards. 

  • Process Improvement: Assists in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency of operations and cost-effectiveness. 

  • Scheduling & Sequencing: Assists in scheduling and the sequencing of work (build and delivery) for the cell to optimize productivity. 

  • Logistics Support: Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure the availability of materials and smooth operations. 

  • Carrier Excellence: Leads Carrier Excellence (Lean/Continuous Improvement) initiatives within the assigned cell. 

  • Innovation Support: Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance the cell’s production capabilities. 

  • Customer Service: Interfaces with customers to understand needs and issues, ensuring that customers receive satisfactory standards of service. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • University Degree with 2+ years of manufacturing experience OR High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of manufacturing experience 

  • 2+ specialized knowledge of technical or operational manufacturing practices. 

  • 2+ years of  basic management approaches, including work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Continuous Improvement: Prior experience participating in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Carrier Excellence projects. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with additive manufacturing or automated production systems. 

  • Communication: Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional support teams including Scheduling, Materials, Quality, and Engineering.
