About the Role
To maximize system uptime and customer satisfaction by providing high-level technical support for commercial startups and repairs, while acting as a strategic partner to Engineering/Quality in identifying and resolving field performance trends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform system start up, configuration, calibration, and integration for Hydronic Boilers and BMS

  • Provide expert service, routine and emergency, on all Viessmann equipment

  • Make recommendations on the programming of Viessmann controls to optimize equipment operation and maximize system efficiency

  • Test and adjust, as needed, combustion parameters for burners installed in Viessmann equipment as part of the maintenance and repair procedure of Viessmann products

  • Assist the qualified, licensed heating professional with the troubleshooting of technical issues involving Viessmann products and make recommendations as to parts replacement, service procedures, and system optimization as assigned by their supervisor

  • Train mechanical contractors in the field to commission, maintain, and service commercial products, as assigned by their supervisor 

  • Daily travel to customer sites as required

  • When Not in The Field: Provide technical telephone support in conjunction with the Tech line for all Viessmann products (commercial & residential)  

  • Extraordinary and additional tasks as may be required by the course of business

Required Qualifications

  • A technical degree, certification, diploma, or training in the HVAC industry OR High school diploma/GED with 2 years of field experience working with Commercial Hydronics 

  • 2 years of experience with multimeters, combustion analyzers, manometers.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to travel up to 60%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Commercial Hydronics in the field installing, servicing, and repairing boilers and controls.

  • Experience with commercial controls, combustion, and equipment

  • Analytical thinking, systematic working habits, precise and reliable decision making, demonstration of initiative and leadership

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Journeyman, Pipe Fitter, or Plumber and/or “Oil Burner Electrician” license

  • Ability to read and comprehend piping and wiring diagrams
