About the role
We are seeking a Product Manager, New Product Introduction professional to join our applied rooftop unit team! As a new product introduction manager, you will be focused on all aspects of new product development and introduction, including collecting voice of customer and market information, supporting development of product roadmaps, supporting the product development and tollgate process, supporting ECAT integration, and the creation of marketing and training materials.

Key responsibilities

  • Support new product development and introduction.
  • Perform market and competitive analysis.
  • Perform VOC with sales offices and customers.
  • Support creation of product requirements document (PRD).
  • Support the passport process and core product development team meetings.
  • Manage the creation of product literature, marketing content, and product training.
  • Manage the creation of price pages and ECAT integration.
  • Provide volume and sales estimates for new product releases.
  • Coordinate with product leadership and engineering on product roadmap updates and long range planning.
  • Manage new accessory setup to support new product releases.
  • Provide backup support for application engineering.
  • Support marketing and training events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 + years of experience in heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning (HVAC) industry
  • 5 + years of experience in product management, application engineering, and/or sales 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree
  • Experience with rooftop units, air terminal units, or DOAS systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with HVAC equipment selection tools
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
  • Have an ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in high pressure situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers
  • Have a personality defined by positivity, responsibility, integrity, accountability, and respect culminating in a strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking
  • Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, AHRI, DOE).
  • Some travel, including international (Canada, Mexico), is required (<10%)
