About this role:
The Facilities Engineer designs, installs, and maintains the utilities and building systems at a Carrier manufacturing facility, ensuring the infrastructure needed to run the operation. This role supports facility and utility projects and their performance verification.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the design, installation, and maintenance of facilities and utilities (electrical, compressed air, water, HVAC).
Leads infrastructure projects and site modifications.
Ensures reliability and energy efficiency of general services and building systems.
Coordinates contractors and facilities service providers.
Supports the commissioning of the plant and its utilities.
Ensure compliance with safety and building codes (OSHA, NFPA, NEC).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of facilities, plant engineering, or industrial utilities experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
Strong knowledge of building systems and utilities (electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, water).
Experience leading infrastructure/utility projects and coordinating contractors.
Knowledge of applicable safety and building codes (OSHA, NFPA, NEC).
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and P&ID drawings.
Experience with facility construction and utility installation projects.
Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability.
Project management and contractor management skills.
