Role Responsibilities:
Driving progress towards process optimization by studying and analyzing performance data then developing and deploying engineering solutions
Assuring product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Providing guidance and support to operational management and shop team through quality expertise leading and facilitating the optimization of new product industrializations
Optimization of the process to reduce cost and improve flexibility through the implementation of Best Practices
Provides technical guidance to the manufacturing facility as it industrializes new technology or new processes.
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Role Purpose:
Assist with the daily requirements and documentation of Metallurgy and Metrology processes.
Coordinate and execute activities to support and maintain the QMS
Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to reduce waste while improving process flow and outputs of the business’s processes
Assuming responsibility for quality improvements as they relate to an area within a facility or a specific project or projects within a facility
Managing the application of root cause analysis in problem solving
Participate in Product Quality Planning (impact analysis, preliminary capability, FMEA, Quality Plan, training needs
Applies hands on technical troubleshooting skills to existing processes with quality problems
Review and understand the key procedures and components of the QMS and the business’s quality objectives
Read and interpret customer quality system requirements, including processing and inspection specifications
Audit business procedures and functions, including processing and inspection operations, against a defined set of requirements
Create reports which clearly and concisely outline how business procedures and functions either meet or do not meet the defined set of requirements
Collaborate with business unit teams to agree upon specific, actionable items necessary to implement new requirements or address identified deficiencies
Basic Qualifications
Must be currently pursuing bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Some coursework related to Quality or Engineering is a plus.
