External Description:

Carrier Commercial HVAC is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Sr. Manager, Quality Data Intelligence & Project Management to lead enterprise quality data integration, business intelligence, and cross-functional project execution. This role serves as the central point of ownership for quality-related data across the product lifecycle, integrating information from engineering design, manufacturing operations, supplier quality, warranty systems, field service, and Voice of Customer (VOC) channels to generate meaningful insights that drive product and process improvements.

The successful candidate will transform complex datasets into actionable business intelligence through advanced analytics, dashboard development, AI-enabled solutions, and executive-level reporting. In addition, this role will drive accountability and project execution across manufacturing facilities, ensuring timely completion of problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.


Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Quality Data Ownership

  • Serve as the end-to-end owner of Commercial HVAC quality data strategy and governance.
  • Integrate and harmonize data from multiple sources, including:
    • Product Design & Engineering
    • Manufacturing Operations
    • Supplier Quality
    • Warranty & Field Service Systems
    • Customer Complaints
    • Voice of Customer (VOC)
    • Reliability Testing
    • Corrective and Preventive Action Systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and availability across enterprise quality platforms.
  • Establish data standards, metrics definitions, and reporting methodologies.

Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics

  • Develop and maintain enterprise quality dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting systems.
  • Create automated reporting solutions that provide near real-time visibility into quality performance.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, escape drivers, failure patterns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics models to support proactive quality management.
  • Generate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making at factory, regional, and executive levels.

Artificial Intelligence & Digital Quality Transformation

  • Drive adoption of AI and advanced analytics tools within the quality organization.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage machine learning, generative AI, automation, and predictive analytics to improve quality performance.
  • Partner with IT, Digital, and Data Science teams to implement scalable AI solutions.

Executive Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare executive-level presentations and business reviews for senior leadership.
  • Translate technical data into concise, compelling business insights and recommendations.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual quality performance reviews.

Project Management & Factory Accountability

  • Lead enterprise quality improvement projects across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Track and drive closure of problem-solving projects, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish project governance, milestone tracking, and escalation processes.
  • Drive accountability with factory leadership teams for timely execution of actions and sustainable results.

Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain central quality databases, KPI repositories, and reporting platforms.
  • Support deployment and continuous improvement of digital quality systems.
  • Train and support manufacturing facilities and leadership teams on data utilization, analytics tools, and reporting methodologies.
  • Establish best practices for quality data management and business intelligence across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines:  Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Integration, Business Intelligence, Quality Analytics, Project Management and Digital Transformation.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, automotive, HVAC, aerospace, or related industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and driving organizational accountability.

Technical Skills

  • Data integration and management expertise.
  • Strong proficiency in business intelligence tools such as:
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Qlik
    • Similar platforms
  • Advanced Excel and data modeling capabilities.
  • Experience with SQL, databases, and enterprise reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and automation technologies.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and KPI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with quality methodologies such as:
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    • Six Sigma
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Corrective Action Systems
    • Statistical Analysis

Leadership Competencies

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority across multiple factories and functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

  • Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience deploying AI-based business solutions.
  • Experience in warranty analytics, reliability engineering, or quality management systems.
