About this role:
This position will create the roadmap for the entire production test environment and develop implementation strategies. The primary roles and responsibilities of this position are project lead in the creation and implementation of Test Plans for Automated Logic’s products. Test Plan implementation include specifying test fixtures and if needed designing additional circuits to aid in testing the product. Effective Test Plan implementation shall include meeting Takt Time, Quality and First Pass Yield goals. Other primary responsibilities include increasing the overall efficiency of production test and assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing production test/assembly processes and implementing process improvement to increase efficiency and quality.
- Create standards for Test sequences which can be leveraged across products lines for efficiency and quality.
- Recognize and implement process improvements within entire factory environment for efficiency and quality, with specific focus on direct labor cost.
Resolution of operational issues in production test processes - Leading root cause analysis for test failures
- Review of design documents for DFT and DFM compliance
- Developing Test strategies for the product test to include specifying Test equipment, maintaining test sequences and writing test code.
- Improve product first pass yield (FPY), with focus on reducing false test failures and test equipment failures.
- New technology research and implementation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience with Test Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or Software Development
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in Test Engineering and/or Hardware related engineering; 3+ years of Software development; 1+ years in developing process documentation.
- Expertise in software implementation of Data acquisition, Instrument control and Communication protocols (USB, UART, I2C, SPI). Proficient in National Instruments TestStand, C# .Net, Linux and other programming environments.
- Proficient ability to use electrical schematics to develop test plans and diagnose circuit faults.
- Expert in the use of Test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscopes, Power Supply) to diagnose electronic assemblies.
- Proficient in a variety of computer software programs: MS Office, CAD and Software Configuration Management tools.
- Ability to use data to drive decision making.
- Ability to research/ specify vendors and engineering tools.
- Candidate must be able to multitask to support multiple projects, work well in groups, focus on results, be open to new ideas, have good written and verbal communication skills, have good listening skills, and work well under pressure.
- The candidate must also have good time management skills, attention to detail, good resolve, and the ability to ensure follow-up with customers and co-workers. Problem analysis and resolution skills are required
Production Line Support
- Ensure continuous operations through preventative maintenance processes, equipment troubleshooting and repair, equipment, and tool selection.
- Create and maintain required documentation and training production employees.
Project Management
- Responsible for multiple small projects or lead larger projects.
- New product introductions and new equipment selection and commissioning
