About this role
ALC has an opportunity for a Project Manager in our Kennesaw, GA location with possible travel. We are looking for an experienced professional. This position is for a professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Project Management, who develops project plans and budgets. Identifies project problems, recommends solutions, documents project delays, performs critical path analyses, and presents progress reports. Improve direct communications with customers and field team members. Analyze and interpret test information to resolve moderate design/system related problems. Develop specialized product knowledge and may perform diagnostic procedures. May contact and meet customers on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a large, dispersed portfolio of multiple projects with backlog from $1m-$10m with Strategic Account Customers that include GC’s, Building Owners, and End Users. Ensure smooth project and client satisfaction from project development to completion.
- Manage projects following project processes and where applicable provide direction to assisting Project Mangers, Project Engineers and Subcontractors.
- Complete projects per the contractual requirements within budget, on-time and with a high level of customer satisfaction
- Responsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects.
- Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders for the expansion of scope
- Coordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints, and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues
- Manage relationships with sub-contractors, identifying issues, and take corrective action
- Maintains effective communications with customers and field team members to better understand support requirements.
- Contacts customers frequently requiring a high degree of tact and courtesy to maintain and build good rapport.
- Develops diverse product knowledge and may perform diagnostic procedures.
- Analyzes and interprets test information to resolve design/system related problems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of Building Automation and Controls or HVAC experience.
- 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Clean and valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in HVAC (Building Automation Controls), Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical.
● Project Management experience.
● Ability to read and understand scope of work, construction plans & specs, BMS schematics.
● Prior experience with Automated Logic systems and software.
● PMP Certification
● Experience in risk management, project planning, project estimation, project monitoring.
● Able to lead and motivate teams
● Problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.
● Working knowledge of project financial reporting.
● Deal with multiple challenges simultaneously.
