About this role:

Based in Syracuse, NY, the Infrastructure Manager will lead a team that is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, certification, and upgrading of the data systems for the Light Commercial Engineering team.  This includes Data Acquisition systems, LabVIEW, and connected web databases.  Additionally, they will oversee the shipping/receiving functions for the lab, and the inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee changes and upgrades to LabVIEW VI and DAQ hardware
  • Maintain the data system calibrations
  • Assist with troubleshooting instrumentation, lab support equipment, and test software
  • Manage the lab certifications (UL, ETL, ANAB, AHRI, etc…)
  • Upgrade the Test Execution and Schedule Tracking System web application to support our virtual factory
  • Develop and deploy systems to manage the shipping / receiving / inventory management for the labs

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience with database development and data acquisition systems

PREFERED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with LabVIEW
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering fields
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience, as it pertains to an communicating controls
  • Ability to communicate effectively, follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to lead people to a common goal, give direction, and receive direction from others
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment giving and receiving feedback
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Proven safety record.
  • Strong understanding of electrical wiring and NFPA 70 / National Electric Code
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools, and other electrical equipment.
  • Refrigerant recovery certification EPA608 Universal preferred
  • Experienced with HVAC product certification standards
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities with very short notice.
  • Budget management experience
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leader/manager of teams of 3+ members.
