Primary Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to all NORESCO and customer safety standards. Promotes safety awareness on work sites.
  • Installs and splices LED light fixtures on street and parking lot lights.
  • Drives and operates a manlift to complete lighting repairs. Works effectively and efficiently from heights.
  • Troubleshoots and installs new light fixtures as required.
  • Creates and completes open work orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customer and provide status updates on service repairs.
  • Performs frequent site audits to identify failed streetlights.
  • Communicates and develops countermeasures for all non-functional equipment to ensure timely repairs.
  • Updates and maintains part inventory.
  • Manages assigned work to meet customer expectations.
  • Reports issues to all stakeholders in accordance with company policy and practices. 
  • May provide training to customers on their specific systems operations. Delivers documentation to the customer for training as needed or as contractual obligation requires.
  • Completes site inspections on interior/exterior lights and plumbing fixtures as required and maintains a running log of results.
  • Complete and maintain all safety or job-related certifications as required.
  • Completes all job required documentation on time, including timesheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation, and project status reports in accordance with company policy as required.
  • Responds to scheduled or emergency situations as assigned.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to support other sites.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Education

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Basic knowledge of electricity and circuit theory.
  • Experience with wire splicing and electrical installation.
  • Must possess excellent soft skills.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the industry.
  • Ability to obtain Federal security clearances as required.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Degree/Certification from a recognized college or university in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, including understanding program logic.
  • Basic knowledge of steam distribution systems including steam trap testing.
  • Working knowledge of the Niagara platform.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and other Windows products as required.
  • Must have the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Good understanding of troubleshooting methods and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks, including wireless technologies.
  • Able to read, understand and interpret Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings and specifications.
