About This Role

The Charlotte, NC Chiller Production facility is looking for an experienced Material Planner to join their Materials team. This Material Planner is responsible for inbound material planning in support of production for the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for inbound material planning in support of production for the Charlotte, NC Chiller Production facility.
- Implement lean logistics methods for inbound deliveries including Kanban, Just in Time, and Just in Sequence
- Update and manage MRP planning parameters to enable computer automated ordering
- Interface directly with suppliers to manage supply chain process from order entry to receipt of product at the plant, including resolution of late deliveries and escalation where required.
- Work to reduce on hand inventory dollars and increase turns in support of team goals.
- Demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver products and services to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to balance the needs of the organization and the needs of the customer.

Required Qualifications:

2 - 5 years’ experience in a materials planning environment or related field in manufacturing.
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related degree

Preferred Qualifications:

- Demonstrate the ability to balance the needs of the organization and the needs of the customer.

- Strong inventory control processes to include receiving, material movement and logistics, put away practices, cycle count process, and standard warehousing practices.
- Proficient in CHESS / SAP MRP systems (or similar)
- Knowledge of basic ECR/ECN practices.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization
- Experience with lean manufacturing and kaizen continuous improvements.
- Strong attention to detail.
