About this role:
Play a critical role in developing business strategy, simplifying operational processes, and driving software strategies and solutions to maintain and improve engineering and operational capabilities. This role will champion the integration of tools and technology across the Global Engineering/Supply Chain and will develop ERP processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the engineering change & release process from the initiation through production implementation.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously and respond to constantly changing priorities.
Capture requirements via cross functional interactions (Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Supply/Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Inventory Management).
Setup item master, bills of materials in PLM and ERP systems based on engineering inputs.
Collect necessary data from the manufacturing sites and buyers to assist with cost rollup process.
Automate, standardize, and optimize change and release documentation process workflows.
Report out key metrics with a constant focus to deliver productivity, efficiency & quality improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
3+ years' experience handling engineering changes in new product and / or sustaining projects.
1+year exposure to ERP or PLM
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on experience working with ERP, PLM and CAD applications is a plus (prefer exposure to JD Edwards ERP, Windchill, PDXpert or similar).
Experience working in a fast-paced environment independently and in a team atmosphere.
Conversant with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Good communication skills with a focus on clear, concise, and accurate written and oral presentation.
Exposure to electro-mechanical projects is a plus.
Knowledge of the fire and safety industry is a plus
