About This Role
We are seeking a Service Contracts Business Development Manager experienced in building and growing ongoing business with existing customers, working closely with corporate sales, our dealer network, and direct customers. In concert with the regional sales teams, develop and execute sales strategies to retain existing customers and provide additional value over their asset lifecycle. Apply advanced knowledge of industrial or technical sales and business development to provide one-stop lifecycle solutions to customers within Carrier's BluEdge service platform. Analyze and interpret customer needs to tailor service programs specific to customers asset lifecycle goals and application needs, as well as broader programs to benefit additional customers.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with program managers to develop, refine, and commercialize service contract offerings to meet/exceed customer needs.
Drive business growth and expansion working with regional sales and dealer network for service contract opportunities.
Advise, coach, and assist sales channels in their sales pursuit activities.
Provide input to leadership team on service contract growth strategy.
Develop and maintain a strong relationship with customers, dealer network, and internal stakeholders to drive service contract growth.
Participate in creation of sales and marketing support tools, and provide training as needed.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop specific marketing/promotion programs.
Solve problems and make recommendations for improvements as they arise.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
4+ years of sales and/or business development experience in an industrial or technology field
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, technical field, or engineering discipline
Experience with Salesforce CRM & CPQ.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Experience with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) and PowerBI
Excellent written and verbal skills
Possess a growth mindset and a customer focused approach.
Selling and problem-solving skills
Ability to build relationships and influence internally and externally
Enthusiasm toward and ability to solve problems.
Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers, with a track record of successful commercialization.
Comfortable and able to travel to meet business needs.
Experience in transportation segment, preferably commercial trucking or an adjacent industry
Ability to quickly learn and multitask.
