About this role
Entry-level professional in Supply Chain Management. Works to achieve general day-to-day objectives focusing on supply chain strategies and goals. May be responsible for making minor changes or enhancements to supply chain management processes and systems. Explains facts, policies, and practices to outside functional areas in support of supply chain strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports one or more Supply Chain disciplines in executing routine processes.
- Assists internal teams in procurement and shipment of supplies.
- Takes dispatch details from customers and provides internal teams with specific instructions regarding handling of the shipment.
- Handles queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinates with finance/taxation/commercial departments for timely release of payments.
- Arranges documentation, return, pickup, shipment and delivery as required.
- Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
- Attend scheduled EH&S training program
- Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
- Recommend improved EH&S practices
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of Support Services Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP implementation and usage (Epicor, Bahn/Infor/SAP)
- Electrical component/device background desired Strong freight management experience (CTPAT knowledge desirable)
- Experience/knowledge in Demand Pull fulfillment environment
- Ability to communicate with international suppliers and global teams to drive TCO reduction
- International Supplier management experience and ability to work in global matrix highly desired
- Ability to travel internationally, foreign language skills (Mandarin and /or Spanish) a plus
- Superior knowledge of MS Office, including Excel & Access
- Excellent inter-personal skill, team player, ability to interface with Engr, Mktg, Finance and other depts.
