About this role:
Entry-level Electrical and Electronics professional who troubleshoots technical and electrical device problems, operates engineering software and equipment, and confers with stakeholders regarding engineering projects.
The primary responsibility of the position is the engineering development and integration of chiller electrical systems. In this capacity, the engineer will be responsible for developing solutions that best meet the local/global market needs by integrating multiple technologies in the product. To do this, the engineer must have a strong understanding of three phase power, induction and permanent magnet motors, control panel design/layout, variable frequency drives, motor controllers, circuit breaker and conductor sizing plus ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team member of the Applied & Packaged Chiller/Splits Development organization
- Develop chiller system architecture that meets or exceeds the product development requirements
- Confirm product design performance, capability and reliability in the engineering product test laboratories
- Collaborate with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement design into production
- Collaborate with the product marketing teams locally to develop product requirements and ensure that the product meets their needs when launched
- Preferred CREO Schematic & Cabling experience
- Solid understanding and experienced with drafting standards and procedures
- Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes
- Experience with electrical components and subassemblies and their function
- General understanding and exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components
- Has in-depth knowledge of variable frequency drives
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of work and meeting schedule deliverables
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 2+ months of experience Control panel design and layout
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferred
- Project leadership experience, preferred
- HVAC industry experience, preferred
- Strong communication skills, primarily in English
- Leadership and teamwork skills required
