About This Role:
This role will be a key interface between the service, sales/marketing, and manufacturing functions. The Quality Engineer is responsible for protecting and driving external performance key quality metrics such as Claim Count, Standard Warranty and Customer Escapes PPM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Schedule Q process for projects oriented to improve customer satisfaction
- Summarizing, quantifying, and reporting on a regular basis progress on external quality metrics
- Supporting the analysis of plant customer claims and triaging internal and external corrective action based on cost, occurrence, or high-profile escapes
- Establish a customer bi-lateral continuous improvement culture and prompt communication with Carrier Commercial Services and Technical Service Managers for field operation opportunities
- Responsible for supporting the documentation and implementation of containment and corrective actions
- Coordinate field part returns effectively to trigger deep analysis and relentless root cause analysis and corrective actions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in Product or Quality Engineering or Operations within a manufacturing facility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering is a plus
- Awareness of Commercial HVAC equipment operation is a plus
- Experience in customer facing roles
- Solid positive attitude and effective communicating skills with a proven ability to forge solid business inclusive and diverse relationships
- Experience with Quality core processes, Production Part Approval Process elements, Advanced Product Quality Planning, data management systems and continuous improvement tools
- Must be able to work well within diverse international environments
- Robust skills on data manipulation, interpretation, and analysis.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
