About This Role

Excellent opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to assume the Associate Director of Treasury Business Unit Support and Strategic Initiatives role within the Treasury organization. This role will be responsible for partnering with the HVAC, Refrigeration and Fire & Security businesses and corporate functions, as well as help set strategic direction for optimizing cash flow and liquidity for business initiatives. This role will also support elements of Carrier’s annual enterprise risk management assessment.

The organization offers opportunity to be part of a growing treasury department and manage projects across functions and business segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the existing Treasury team to assist in driving internal strategic initiatives in support of Carrier’s businesses, capital structure, and integration activities related to mergers & acquisitions.

  • Ensures appropriate funding mix for the Carrier entities in the region/supports entities capital structure reviews, as appropriate

  • Expands standardization of credit agreements in the region/ negotiate new credit agreements

  • Expand the cash mobilization programs and increase carrier entities reliance on intra group funding 

  • Cooperate in the development and implementation of the annual dividend program for the entities in the region

  • Participates proactively to the Carrier de-leveraging efforts

  • Support the quarterly cash and debt forecast & Actuals program

  • Support the Treasury aspects of M&A & restructuring activities. Develop related funding and integration plans, as appropriate

  • Advise Business units

  • Financing structures and work with Carrier banks to construct appropriate structures

  • Management of the treasury activities related risks, including Foreign Exchange

  • Participation to Carrier Treasury programs

  • Trade Finance Programs (Customer, Supplier)

  • Carrier Treasury policies

  • Support aspects of Carrier’s enterprise risk management assessment

  • Supports Carrier Treasury initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance or business

  • 10+ years of treasury and/or finance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree a plus

  • Experience in global liquidity

  • Experience of International Treasury operations, restructuring and cash mobilization

  • Direct experience with treasury processes, banking, and financial systems is helpful

  • Strong analytical ability and effective communication skills

  • Financial analysis techniques, forecasting processes

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, while maintaining customer focus

  • Strong management skills

  • Ability to balance multiple projects with cross functional teams (Controllers, IT, Legal, Tax)

  • Detail oriented with attention to quality / accuracy.

  • Strong understanding of integration of mergers & acquisitions

  • Good interpersonal skills, including ability and desire to communicate and collaborate across functions

  • Good business sense and creative problem solving skills

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Able to multitask and have excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Teamwork – desire to work with others and share responsibilities
