About this role
This position manages a team of intermediate or experienced professionals in Scheduling, oversees production process, designs production planning activities, modifies production schedules, monitors work orders and staffing table, and accounts for delays or changes in cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs production process, identifies the need for changes in production schedule due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, and liaises with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering in order to ensure timeliness of production.
- Approves documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to cost estimates so that performance can be analyzed.
- Designs production planning activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules, volume, cost, and waste targets while maintaining established quality standards.
- Supervises the hiring, training, evaluating, or discharging of staff or the resolving of personnel grievances to ensure the effective deployment of human resources.
- Analyzes documents, such as master production schedules (MPS), work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of work experience as a Master Scheduler
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in SIOP plans
- Degree in business administration or supply chain
- Demonstrated experience in scheduling a multi-line manufacturing facility.
- Ability to identify and manage metrics on team's effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy for business analytics
