About this role

In the role you will assist with the design, documentation, and/or programming of building automation systems (BASs) in compliance with project plans and specifications. Proactive communication with project team both internal and external including requests for information (RFIs) and technical risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing of programming and interfaces prior to deployment.
  • Support of functional testing (commissioning) for building systems.
  • Adherence to project requirements and company and customer standards in all aspects of design, programming, and implementation.
  • Technical support during the selling process to ensure that sales representatives accurately address customer requirements and propose the best possible solutions.
  • Clear communication and proactive expectation setting with manager and project teams both internal and external.
  • Adherence to safety standards. High regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Adherence to ethics standards. Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • AA/AS degree
  • 1+ years of controls engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or construction discipline and some HVAC experience in the HVAC controls industry
  • Understanding of IP networks
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio (other CAD software acceptable)
