This position is to support operations on second shift. The successful candidate will be accountable for troubleshooting processes, training operations staff, completing and sustaining standard work to support the operations team in meeting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, evaluating, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes that improve manufacturability and eliminate process inefficiencies.
  • Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
  • Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
  • Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Working closely with production to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
  • Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions.
  • Trouble shooting and resolving technical problems.
  • Proactively eliminate EHS hazards and ensure that work areas are safe at all times.
  • Leads Kaizen teams
  • Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives. 
  • Knowledge of the practical application of manufacturing principles. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Highly energetic and success driven team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to be persuasive and make presentations.  Effectively interact with technicians and among other departments and suppliers.
  • Technical knowledge / understanding of the commercial HVAC product industry or ability to learn expeditiously.
  • Ability to persist and succeed with cross-cultural communication on technical issues.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Passionate about eliminating problems before they occur or after only one occurrence.
  • Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/operations environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a highly dynamic team and fast-paced environment with continuous challenges.
  • Experience with change management processes.
