KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic leadership and category oversight to include sourcing strategy execution, negotiations, contract implementation and performance against established targets
- Manage supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier contract negotiations
- Develop preferred supplier program
- Operational and spend analysis, development and execution of annual sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, supplier performance management & operational support.
- Build and maintain relationships throughout every level of the organization, that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to identify sourcing needs and leading to the development of optimal approaches and solutions
- Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end to end value, and bring innovation to the business
- Identifies business demand requirements and partners with Business Units to deliver annual value improvements and drives competitive advantage
- Responsible for overall relationship with multiple strategic accounts across a given category.
- Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature
- Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective through established governance programs
- Identify, develop and direct the implementation of supply chain goals and category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an understanding of industry/market dynamics
- Escalate issues that may impact the supply chain organization and effectively manages issues
- Strong project management capabilities to support effective initiative, program and spend tracking
- Committed to supporting supplier diversity and other important supply chain initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of experience in category management and/or supply chain.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in global procurement or business experience with preferred experience in sourcing in the following categories: HR and Marketing.
- Experience leading and engaging cross-functional teams.
- A strong procurement background to include knowledge and expertise utilizing programs such as Ariba or other common sourcing platforms.
- Demonstrated proficiency in lifecycle of contract management.
- Proven ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategy and results.
- Proven ability to lead a global team to achieve results through leadership & influence.
- Previous category experience with demonstrated track record of success.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to lead analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables.
- Strong communication skills and business acumen are highly desirable.
