This is an entry-level position with the primary responsibilities to calibrate and maintain test fixtures and equipment for production testing of electronic assemblies. Job responsibilities include resolution of daily manufacturing issue related to production test; assisting Senior Engineers in the implementation of test plans and qualifying new test fixtures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct support of manufacturing production test including efficient resolution of down equipment
  • Specify, procure, fabricate, calibrate, and maintain test fixtures and test equipment
  • Creating process documentation and training others on the proper use
  • Implementation of Engineering Change Orders related to the manufacturing process
  • Providing technical direction to factory labor personnel in test fixture maintenance
  • Identifying/qualifying test fixture vendors
  • Creating documentation for testing and assembly of electronic assemblies
  • Training production associates on production test processes
  • Specifying and maintaining spare parts for test equipment
  • Improvement efforts in quality and efficiency
  • Misc. duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 Year Technical Degree or Technical Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and be able to stand for an extended time.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Knowledge and ability to use electronic test equipment such as Digital multi-meter.
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Proficient in soldering electronic components
  • Training in basic electronics including interpreting schematics and proven troubleshooting abilities
  • Candidate must be able to multitask to support multiple projects, work well in groups, focus on results, be open to new ideas, have good written and verbal communication skills, have good listening skills, and work well under pressure
  • The candidate must also have good time management skills, attention to detail, good resolve, and the ability to ensure follow-up with customers and co-workers
