This position is for a seasoned professional contributor in Industrial Engineering, who may manage small projects or processes to ensure overall project development coordination for the most efficient utilization of equipment and material resources Communicates with parties within and outside Industrial Engineering regarding cost control initiatives and process and systems improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applies in-depth knowledge in analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, or control logistics operations or processes.
- Compiles operational data and develops cost or time estimates, schedules, or specifications to support the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
- Prepares management reports to define and evaluate problems and recommend solutions.
- Regulates and alters workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
- Works closely with workers engaged in product development, completion, measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
- Is expected to project opportunities, create a plan, track progress, communicate progress, and fully implement from start to finish. Projects are expected to meet deadlines and improve operational efficiency; any setbacks are communicated clearly with mitigation plans to get back on track.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in various software applications including, but not limited to, the MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, AutoCad
- Ability to influence decisions downstream and upstream
- Solid understanding of lean principles to effectively create, implement and monitor process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills; candidate must be comfortable providing briefings at all levels of management
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner
- Shift flexibility required
- Fundamentals of line balancing, work cell design, and layouts
