About this role
We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our Ductless and VRF division, under Carrier Corporation, Residential and Light Commercial Systems (RLCS). This position will be responsible for the design and execution of marketing and sales strategies, policies, and programs to achieve Ductless sales goals within Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Meet and exceed quarterly quotas and annual sales plans
Responsible for Ductless product sales and growth
Overnight travel approximately 50%
Develop and manage joint growth strategies with Distribution, Reps, DSOs, and CSGM to increase customer base, convert contractors and engineers, and increase market share
Support Distribution, DSOs, and Reps to meet their sales targets
Train the sales channel on Ductless and marketing programs
Assist the sales channel to ensure satisfied customers
Identify product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with Product Management to prioritize and eliminate gaps
Assist the sales channel, service, and contractors to rapidly resolve issues
Examine marketing and sales statistics plus field conditions to identify opportunities and devise strategies for maximum growth and increased market share
Build consultative relationships and trust with Distribution, DSOs, and Reps
Familiar with energy rebates and tax incentives within their Region
Responsible for compiling competitive product and pricing data relative to job quotes and Market pricing
Contributes to their team or department by applying their knowledge of one or more functional areas
Fully developed professional able to work without direct guidance or direction from others
Has in depth knowledge of the discipline and role
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Fluent in English and French
5+ years sales experience working with and/or selling inverter ductless/VRF equipment to distributors and proven ability to meet consumer and customer requirements
Proven history of rapid sales growth with satisfied customers
Knowledgeable about Ductless products (operation, design guidelines, accessories)
Thorough understanding of market place dynamics including industry trends and assessment of key competitor’s programs
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesize in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience
Strong public speaking and verbal presentation skills
Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience
Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
Superior follow-up and follow-through skills
Able to work and communicate with multiple levels of positions within Distribution (Counter Sales Associates, Inside Sales Reps, Outside Sales TM’s, Sales Managers and Owner/Principal)
