About This Role
As the world's largest manufacturer of Fire Safety Products, Kidde is looking for a strategic-minded individual to serve as the Strategic Account Manager for key accounts, and new business development. Reporting directly to the Director of Retail Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities and strengthening relationships and driving revenue growth through strategic account management and business development efforts with existing customers.
The position is Atlanta or Raleigh based (preferred) with remote as an option for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive channel growth strategies and joint business plans to drive sales and margin growth for Kidde and our customers across strategic channels like Drug, Club, Specialty, Grocery, & Mass.
Identify and penetrate new customer segments, leveraging market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities for expansion.
Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key accounts, building strong relationships and serving as the primary point of contact.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and maximize business growth potential.
Build alignment amongst promotional activities across various retail customers and commercial channels; maintain a promotional calendar to be used in strategy alignment
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to proactively identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
Overnight domestic travel of up to 40% may be required
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma with 8+ years of sales experience in Consumer Product Goods or Bachelor's Degree w/ 4+ years of sales experience in Consumer Product Goods.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of sales management experience in the Fire Detection and Suppression industry across multiple channels
Direct Head Quarter Sales Account Management
Third Party Sales Broker Management Experience
Experience in creating, managing, and implementing strategic sales plans.
Must possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills, along with the skill set to present product solutions to customer base
Ability to work with an established sales channel to meet quota and can document & execute sales strategies for the assigned account
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Must be able to work in a Team & Competitive environment
Product knowledge and application experience in Detection and Suppression products
