About The Role:

Creation of designs and documentation for Commercial Unitary packaged rooftops & split systems and their major sub-section and related sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General design and drafting responsibilities based on layouts, sketches and drawings using CAD applications.
  • Ensure all engineering change workflows are followed
  • Participate in Carrier Excellence activities, including standard work, Kaizen and VSM events.
  • Make contributions to their team by applying their knowledge of the discipline.
  • Work with guidance on projects with short-term focus.

Typical Educational Requirements:

  • Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (two years duration) & 1+ year(s) of HVAC experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate should have refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical background, including:

  • Background / hands-on experience working in an engineering design environment.
  • Ability for developing continuous improvement projects.
  • Capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
  • Ability to influence and drive change.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities.
  • Skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
  • Follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Knowledge of PTC’s Pro/ENGINEER (Creo) and Windchill applications
