About this role
As a passionate and driven technical expert, you will be responsible for promoting the proper application of Det-Tronics gas detection products and solutions. You will work closely with sales, field service, customer service, project teams, engineering, and marketing to identify and implement innovative solutions that will exceed customer expectations and drive company growth. As a key technical advisor and product advocate, you will have the opportunity to establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in defining, developing, and implementing cutting-edge gas detection product application solutions that meet customer and code requirements
- Resolve complex technical product and application issues for customers in alignment with the company's mission, values, and financial objectives
- Provide pre-sales support to customers and sales teams, helping them identify the best solution for their needs
- Contribute to the design and development of new products and sales tools, leveraging your technical expertise to innovate and drive growth
- Maintain relationships with industry stakeholders and represent the company at conferences and trade shows
- Analyze project requirements and create reports and trip summaries to support proposals and projects
- Lead technical and product training sessions for salespeople and customers, driving knowledge sharing and collaboration
- Travel to project sites as necessary to provide on-site commissioning and testing support
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- 2+ years of experience in technical hardware and software product support
Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field
- Experience in fixed gas detection technologies and their application
- Technical knowledge of detection system installation, commissioning and servicing procedures
- Familiarity with integrated fire and gas detection system solutions
- Proven organizational skills with demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers worldwide, leveraging your multicultural awareness and language skills
- Forward thinker who actively seeks opportunities to innovate and propose solutions
- Ability to travel, including on short notice
