Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain two reciprocating engine generators and heat recovery steam generators and all supporting equipment including steam/feed/condensate systems, engine cooling (ECW) systems, gas compressors, air compressors, water treatment, electrical switchgear, motor control centers, pumps, motors, and control systems
  • Respond to the site during off shift hours as necessary to restore from emergent equipment failures
  • Perform plant inspections, fill out plant operations log sheets, document discovered issues
  • Perform planned/preventative equipment maintenance
  • Perform emergent/corrective equipment maintenance
  • Proactively identify and address leading indicators of potential equipment failures
  • Create and update work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Maintain NORESCO’s on site tool inventory and spare parts inventory
  • Interface with customers and subcontractors as assigned
  • Maintain good customer relations
  • Technician will report to the site’s Maintenance Manager
  • Engine specific training will be provided
  • CMMS specific training will be provided
  • Company phone provided; company vehicle not provided
  • Travel not expected
  • Candidate must live within 30 minutes of the job site (or be willing to move there)
  • Normal 40 hour work week (generally day shift) and occasional overtime will be required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of power generation equipment maintenance experience and/or reciprocating engine experience
  • Carry up to 50 pounds up and down multi levels of stairs; able to climb 8ft ladders and elevated platforms
  • American citizenship required to comply with federal site access requirements
  • State issued drivers license
  • OSHA 10 certification or ability to earn certification after hiring

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • OSHA 30 certification or ability to earn certification after hiring
  • Excellent mechanical/electrical aptitude (ability to troubleshoot, restore, and maintain a wide variety of equipment)
  • Practical knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Practical knowledge of power and steam generation
  • Familiarity with safety related programs (LOTO, HAZMAT/HAZWASTE, PPE, …)
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to follow directions, accomplish work without supervision, and then update supervisor
  • Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
