We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented student to join our team for the summer of 2024. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
As a Commodity Management and Sourcing intern, you will gain experience including, but not limited to, activities and tasks listed below:
- Manage Open PO reporting with Buyers and Suppliers.
- Logistics Analysis, including lane optimization and rate comparison.
- Inventory analysis and recommendations to stock levels and actions to drive to set KPIs.
- Interactions with domestic and international suppliers for cost reduction initiatives, create ideas, drive projects, and report results.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning (DRP, BCP) assist in setting robust. practices to ensure supply chain stability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Statistical Analysis, or related fields
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Applicant must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven and proactive
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects
