About This Role
The Enterprise Monitoring Manager will help lead and manage teams responsible for instrumenting and monitoring the performance of multiple global digital products and services being developed within Carrier Digital. This role will be engaged in a range of products critical to Carrier’s continued business growth. As an Enterprise Monitoring Manager, you will be responsible for instrumenting measurable success for Carrier Digital’s value streams focused on solving complex business and technology issues related to monitoring & observability, from strategy to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages all cloud-based programs and cloud migration processes.
- Manages professionals who survey external market to ensure internal and external cloud offerings are competitive and relevant.
- Manages the integration of in-house applications and systems with third party cloud providers
- Works cross-functionally to understand cloud requirements and specifications; communicates requirements to Digital counterparts.
- May focus on Software-as-a-Service (SAAS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS), Platform-as-a-Service (PAAS), etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 8+ years of experience supporting production applications
- 8+ years of experience using performance monitoring tools like NewRelic, MS Application Insights, AWS CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk and AppDynamics etc.
- 8+ years of experience running load, stress and endurance performance tests for cloud native software using tools like LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, Visual Studio and LoadNinja etc.
- 8+ years of experience defining on-call support processes
- 6+ years of experience delivery application performance monitoring visualizations
- 4+ years of experience creating and maintaining Cloud Environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise and domain knowledge of networking design patterns
- Expertise and domain knowledge of IoT design patterns
- Expertise and domain knowledge of embedded development design patterns
- Expertise and domain knowledge of distributed system design patterns
- Demonstrated expertise in real life products that have made it to market.
- Deep understanding of how technology can affect future Carrier solutions.
- Sales/Solution Engineering experience.
