About this role

We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2024. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist the Carrier Tax Department in achieving its business strategy. 

Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Reporting and Compliance intern you will gain experience to include, but is not limited to activities and tasks listed below: 

  • Prepare federal income tax returns 
  • Preparation of state and local income tax returns 
  • Assistance with international compliance process 
  • Assist with the state estimates and extensions 
  • Assist with analysis to support the federal consolidation 
  • Assist with the quarterly and year-end Provision 
  • Assist with various federal and state income projects to support the Domestic Compliance and Reporting Group 
  • Assist with process improvement projects 

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-driven and proactive 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels 
  • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects 
  • Pursuing a Masters Degree in related fields
