About This Role
Lead, develop, and implement FinOps processes and capabilities required that ensure costs optimization through automation. Drive FinOps culture while collaborating with internal customers to incorporate cost management best practices into cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help product team across the business to understand the variable cloud spend
- Work closely with Team on budgets, forecasts, and chargebacks
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the cloud optimization practice and make recommendations on reserved capacity strategy, utilization optimization opportunities, product architectural recommendations to promote cost savings, and discounts for optimization
- Support and assist in the development of the cloud infrastructure FinOps plan and roadmap
- Provide support for the execution and iteration of cloud spend governance process
- Partner with Business, Cloud and Finance leaders to define, implement, and drive best practices in FinOps
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in multi cloud environment
- 2+ years of Cloud FinOps exposure
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- FinOps certified Practitioner
- Experience working with remote and globally distributed teams
- Master’s degree in in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- AWS Certified Solution Architect
- Candidate should have experience on multi cloud environment with Cloud Strategy & Digital Transformation exposure
- Analytical thinking and skills to collect, analyze, and present sophisticated data to a variety of audiences
- Considerable technical experience with cost optimization techniques
- Practical knowledge of cloud provider cost management capabilities, pricing models, rightsizing approaches, tagging, storage lifecycle policies, and automation
- Experience with third party cloud cost management tools or knowledge of common Business Intelligence platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
