About this Role

The Indirect Procurement Leader under Carrier Fire and Security and will develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect procurement and optimization in support of Carrier’s long term strategy, including improving efficiency, reducing risk, and increasing value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage approximately $200 million in materials

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for indirect procurement activities and savings opportunities.

  • Operational and spend analysis, development and execution of annual sourcing strategies, vendor negotiations, performance management & operational support.

  • Develops longer-term strategies to address vendor issues and business process outsourcing opportunities.

  • Partner with digital team on automation solutions to manage indirect procurement.

  • Analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

  • Responsible for overall relationship and escalations for key vendor accounts.

  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.

  • Ensures supplier or vendor is performing to the designed requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years global supply chain management experience OR Master’s degree with 8+ years global supply chain management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a cross-functional global team to achieve results through leadership & influence

  • Proven ability to exercise business judgment to drive strategy and results

  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to lead analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables
