About this role

Work with the sales team and engineering department to learn how to estimate a complex multi-million dollar building automation systems (BASs) construction project, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications. Support sales, operations, and engineering teams on proactive communication with internal and external groups, including requests for information (RFIs) and technical risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

· Review complete building automation systems design packages, including the specification and sizing of controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware.

· Documentation of the BAS design (i.e., submittals) and revision control of the resultant documents.

· Identification and communication of project opportunities and risks related to cost, time, and technical considerations.

· Timely creation of requests for information (RFIs).

· Adherence to safety standards. High regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

· Adherence to ethics standards. Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Part-time or full-time.

Required Qualifications

· Pursuing Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field

· 3.0 or higher GPA

· Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

· Understands electrical and mechanical building systems.

· Able to interpret plans (including architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints), specifications, and contract documents to deliver compliant but optimized designs.

· Proficient with primary functions of BAS software and associated engineering tools (Automated Logic suite preferred).

· Aptitude for problem-solving even when troubleshooting remotely.

· Team player with a positive attitude.

· Possess and maintain valid and current forms of government-issued identification.

· Ability to report to assigned work location reliably.

· Experience with Microsoft Visio (other CAD software acceptable).
