About this Role
The Senior Manager, Inventory Control Tower will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management, visibility, and optimization of inventory across our global supply chain. By utilizing advanced analytics, tracking systems, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, the specialist will enable seamless inventory management and ensure that product availability meets customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Monitoring & Analysis: Regularly analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock movement across all locations to identify trends, potential shortages, or excesses.
Inventory Optimization: Utilize advanced forecasting tools and methods to predict future inventory needs and optimize inventory levels, minimizing holding costs while ensuring product availability.
Data Management: Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring data accuracy in the inventory management system.
Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, operations, and warehouse teams to align on inventory needs and priorities.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance inventory processes and tools to ensure they are efficient, up-to-date, and meet business needs.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on inventory metrics, including stock levels, turnover rates, potential stockouts, and other KPIs.
Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for any inventory-related issues and drive resolution in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the inventory process and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Training: Train and guide other team members on inventory best practices and new tools or processes as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of experience of inventory management logistics
Preferred Qualifications
APICS certification
Familiarity with lean methodologies or Six Sigma
Collaborated and led multi-cultural teams
Lean DNA experience
Ability to connect with c-suite and buyers across North America
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with inventory Management and ERP systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of inventory forecasting techniques and tools.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
