About This Role
The Senior Sales Area Manager – North America Parts will have responsibility to foster and lead a large team of experienced outside sales professionals or outside sales team leaders, overseeing outside sales activities and ensuring short to medium term objectives and goals for teams are met. This position also develops outside sales plans in support of the discipline and influences leadership on critical outside sales strategies. The role is with Carrier Replacement Components (RC) business and is responsible for management four (4) Regionals Sales Managers and select key distribution customers located in Western US (Texas, California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Colorado.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute on Replacement Components strategies to achieve annual sales growth targets of 15%
- Manage relationship with distribution and regional management to develop strategic initiatives designed to gain parts SOW
- Conduct monthly/quarterly performance reviews with Distribution Regional Management and RC Regional Sales Managers
- Oversee quarterly program buy coordination
- Manage year end performance programs and annual market fund processing
- Monthly SIOP process with CE regional management, RC Leadership and RC Regional Sales Managers
- Supervisory responsibility over 4 RC Regional Sales Managers
- Individual key account responsibility
- Conduct employee Performance Connect reviews
- Set account and territory plans on monthly, quarterly and annual basis via Salesforce CRM tool
- Establish sales goal and provide leadership/direction
- Expense reporting approvals
- Work with Product Marketing to identify product gaps and suggest customer specific or marketplace product development opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR high school diploma/GED with 8+ years of sales experience
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications:
- MA/MS degree
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact within a cross functional team of engineering, sales, purchasing and marketing
- Successful experience in leading teams and working in a matrix environment
- Excellent problem solving and analytic skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
- Sense of urgency, self-initiative, commitment, and sense of ownership
- HVAC market and product knowledge
