About This Role

The International Comfort Product Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing channel marketing initiatives and strategies that will drive volume, profit, and share within the traditional Residential, Ductless and Light Commercial channels. This role is an integral liaison between sales, distribution, and marketing. This role will lead these activities by building alignment with customers (distributors and contractors), sales leadership (internally and externally), sales field team, brand marketing, digital programs, marketing analytics, and product management teams to develop, implement and measure integrated, comprehensive marketing programs that align with the businesses strategic priorities while increasing demand and preference for our products and services. Strategic role in being the face of the brand across the organization internally, as well as externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, recommend, implement, and improve on channel marketing strategies and plans and develop measures to support overall sales growth and increase competitive position.

  • Maintain strong coordination and voice of customer feedback with our channel advisory committees.

  • Provide VOC from distribution to plan and guide activities by strategic plans, annual objectives, and profit plans to improve market share, sales levels, profit margins, and return on capital employed.

  • Work closely with our Distributor Advisory Council for effective meeting and communication of ICP Marketing and support plans.

  • Facilitate and coordinate the efficient and effective cascade of information from the product marketing, sales, training, etc., through the entire channel.

  • Coordinate support for marketing plans and programs from key stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership team, Sales, Product, and Channel Partners consistently. Effectively communicate results to key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing team on content, strategy for trade advertising, channel websites, and applications.

  • Collaborate with the ICP Sales Leadership Teams to support effective Dealer Meetings, remove barriers to sales on a regular basis and obtain VOC for continuous improvement and fully support their sales efforts through channel strategy, programs, promotions and tools and resources.

  • Work closely with Co-op Team to approve, promote, and improve outcome of use of funds.

  • Enhance the current dealer development and recruitment experience.

  • Lead Elite Dealer Meeting planning and other strategic ICP events.

  • Manage budget.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Arts/Bachelors of Science degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing or Sales

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with an MBA are strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years in HVAC and/or similar industry and/or distribution channel management. Experience must include channel management, business development, and/or sales and marketing with a proven record in achieving project milestones under tight schedules.

  • Experience managing P&L to continually assess performance and take necessary actions to improve results.

  • Thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics, including industry trends and assessment of key competitors’ programs.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement market-leading solutions to increase customer preference for products or solutions.

  • Proven financial acumen to develop business strategies and cases to drive implementation within a multi-channel setting.

  • Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.

  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner to identify needs of the organization and/or customer, articulate necessary proposals, and see projects through to completion.

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from various sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format to be easily understood by the target audience.

  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset. Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive sustainable solutions.

  • Strong ability to lead and develop diverse, cross-functional project teams to achieve high performance levels in a dynamic, changing environment. Successful experience with collaborating and developing teams and working in a matrix environment.

  • Strong ability to present very well and convincingly in front of customers and lead large-scale including dealer meetings, conferences, and conventions.

  • Must have a strong writing skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Must be able to articulate and cast a vision for your strategies and plans.
