About This Role
We are seeking an Application Engineer professional to join the Syracuse, NY team to support our commercial applied semi-custom air handling unit (AHU) team. As an Application Engineer, you will work closely with the product manager, our sales teams, and a cross functional product team to support our company’s customers.

Key Responsibilities
Support the sales of assigned products by providing accurate and timely responses to pre-sales inquiries and by assisting with equipment selections by reviewing specifications, design documents, equipment schedules, and application criteria.
Create, maintain, and update technical sales material, including product data, technical manuals, product bulletins, marketing brochures, application guides, technical presentations, and sales presentations.
Perform presentations of sales and training material at sales offices, customer events, industry gatherings, and through webinars and recorded sessions.
Work with product managers to perform competitive and market analysis, collect sales office and customer feedback for assigned products. Assist with planning and implementing product updates and new product releases, develop product roadmap
Maintain selection software and pricing systems, work across multiple disciplines to implement corrections, updates, and new product releases in the selection software and pricing systems.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical understanding of HVAC systems, including system design, building and energy codes, system operation, refrigeration systems, fans, electrical and control systems, and psychrometrics
Well-developed analytical thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving skills. Ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, develop conclusions, and propose solutions
Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, teamwork, responsibility, dependability, leadership, flexibility, motivation, respect, and patience
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Basic competency in business fundamentals, strong math skills, experience with SAP preferred
Well-developed organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize and self-direct with multiple activities and projects
2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: custom or semi-custom air handling units, coils, and/or fans
