The Material Execution (Logistics) Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the factory production lines with the necessary logistical support based on the production schedule. The incumbent will partner with senior leaders, process owners, and subject matter experts to identify and implement standardized processes, systems, and tools aligned with the business goals. H/she will drive warehouse operations to ensure factory production schedule is achieved daily.
The Material Execution (Logistics) Supervisor will drive continuous improvement and optimization of all logistics processes. They will oversee all of the daily logistics operations from the warehouse, 3PL, and plant. This role will be responsible for developing processes that maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
This position supervises a team of technical / business support and/or production / maintenance employees in Materials & Logistics and sets day-to-day activities involving storing and shipping products. Conducts inventory control and prepares reports and manuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety leadership for the IML department to include the onsite 3PL employees
- Supervise the 3PL onsite team members
- Supervise the direct to plant receiving program
- Successfully execute site and warehouse material flow strategy
- Oversee Logistics Management for the site, receiving, and warehousing
- Supervise the vendor returned rack program
- Lead a team of employees with assigning a daily task to optimize daily goals to set up operations for success
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree with 5+ years experience with logistics/ material movement OR ·Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years experience with logistics/material movement
- 2+ years experience with ERP systems
- 2+ years experience with 5S or other workplace organization methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP experience or similar
- Able to motivate and lead employees
- Ability to drive process discipline and accountability
- Background in a progressive manufacturing management environment
- Experience in Six Sigma/Lean processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated organization skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Able to learn and use software applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
