You will be joining one of our newest and most strategic initiatives to build a cloud-based software-as-a-service unified security solution supporting access control, video, and monitoring capabilities. As part of the engineering team, you will work in a continuous delivery environment and contribute to features that directly impact our customers daily.  

We need motivated engineers excited to work across software development, test automation, and infrastructure as we expand our product to meet customers' growing needs. ​

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with senior engineers, UX designers, security engineers, and product owners to deliver features directly to internal and external customers.  
  • Leveraging persona-based development to ensure our products are meeting customer needs.
  • Write code to support product features, test automation, infrastructure, and deployment.
  • Design, develop, and demo as needed within a delivery team.
  • Participate in peer reviews to both share and receive feedback.

Required Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Preference is being given to the candidate from the Rochester Institute of Technology. This co-op is a partnership between the Rochester Institute of Technology and its career center.
  • Relocation is not provided for RIT students.
  • You have a strong computer science background.
  • You enjoy building secure, usable solutions.
  • You have a desire to improve and grow continuously as an engineer.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment, including a willingness to seek and offer help.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and serverless architecture. 
  • Experience with JavaScript technologies, including Node.js, React, and Cucumber. 
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, network security, automation tools, and system analysis. 
  • Experience building scalable solutions with zero-downtime deployment. 
  • Experience with low-voltage hardware and device communication. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of REST APIs.
