About this role

The Operations Project Leader will organize and manage key business priorities that integrate the global Operations team across the enterprise. Acting with a great deal of autonomy, the Operations Project Leader will interact across functions at the executive level to structure workflows, establish and ensure commitment follow up and closure, lead business review preparation and business communication to various stakeholders.

This role provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable business insights including strategic and long-range planning processes, financials, and business performance. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, is a strong collaborator, with outstanding analytical, project management, and organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to synthesize needs of the SVP of Operations into actionable and value-added actions for the executive leadership team (ELT)

  • Understand Operations strategic goals and on-going operations across the function to provide input and support including efforts to create cohesive messages for senior briefings 

  • Organize, coordinate and prioritize business reviews and other critical meeting preparation including content creation (agendas, presentations, business analysis) and collaboration across the ELT

  • Creates annual leadership planning schedule and work with relevant leaders including ELT and support staff to establish organized process for activity and preparation including cadence of topic review; liaise with leaders to ensure preparation and to assure projects meet deadlines

  • Creation of dashboards and ownership to visibility to drive insights and execution by the business

  • Compiles actions list from business reviews and drives follow up actions across stakeholders

  • Reviews and presents plans and progress reports to track progress and ensure that established targets are met

  • Identifies and reacts to project problems and spearheads solutions, such as reallocating of resources, changing specifications, and participating in resolution development for escalated problems

  • Responsible for maintaining a central repository of data needed for business presentations and external communications

  • Coordinates and manages special projects and serve as a focal point for the organization as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 6+ years of experience in an Operations, Finance or Business role

  • Ability to travel 20-30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree

  • Industrial Operations experience

  • High capacity for work and ability to work extended hours and be ‘on call’

  • Demonstrated business management skills with a strong financial acumen.

  • Willingness to collaborate and work alongside team to deliver outcomes.

  • Ability to influence across organizational levels and boundaries to drive results and execute to completion.

  • Very high level of capability with PowerPoint including storyboarding, building charts, graphs etc. and ability to assemble supporting materials for review including back up material.

  • Very high level of capability with Excel, understanding of HFM and ability to run reports a plus.

  • Agile work style and availability, adaptable and accessible based on business needs and critical deliverables.
