About this role
The Associate Director of Global Logistics Digital Transformation plays a critical role in driving the digitalization efforts within the logistics function of the organization. This role involves spearheading digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency, visibility, and agility across the global logistics network. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead digital transformation projects within the global logistics function, focusing on process automation, data analytics, and technology integration.
Develop and implement a roadmap for digital initiatives, aligning with business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and IoT to optimize logistics operations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics, IT, operations, and procurement teams, to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and drive consensus on solutions.
Evaluate existing logistics processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, then design and implement solutions to address these gaps.
Oversee the implementation of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and compatibility with global logistics operations.
Develop metric dashboards to monitor the performance of digital initiatives, track KPIs, and measure the impact on key business outcomes.
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of logistics professionals involved in digital transformation projects, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management, and recommend strategic initiatives to maintain competitive advantage.
Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and technology providers to leverage expertise, resources, and solutions that support the digital transformation agenda.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management or operations
3+ years of experience leading digital transformation initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Administration,
Master's degree
Strong understanding of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
Demonstrated expertise in implementing digital technologies and solutions within a logistics or supply chain context, with a track record of delivering tangible business results.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex initiatives from inception to completion.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data, identify trends and patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management, and the ability to evaluate their potential impact on business operations
