About this role

This role is located at Det-Tronics and sits within the IFPS Legal, Compliance and Risk Management department. You will work very closely with sales and operational colleagues on-site, and work closely with the IFPS Legal Counsel in US and EMEA.  You will provide quick legal support to business colleagues and assess which matters need additional support. You have strong partnering skills as you will interact with business colleagues daily, helping them partner with their customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional legal support to attorneys in the form of legal research and drafting of legal and business communications
  • Draft, negotiate and/or approve commercial contracts and procurement contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents within general commercial legal areas
  • Support sales teams in negotiations with commercial and government customers
  • Manage, organize and maintain documents electronic filing system
  • Track, renew and negotiate distributor and sales representative agreements
  • Represent the company to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies.
  • Provide resolution of business or technical issues under regulatory and commercial laws by identifying legal solutions and recommending a course of action

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal designation and/or are working towards a legal degree
  • Ability to review and revise documents in professional English
  • Pro-active “can-do” attitude and strong business partner mentality
  • Ability to think creatively to improve processes
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, etc.
