About This Role
Automated Logic, a Carrier corporation, is looking for an established inside sales professional. As a Senior Inside Sales Estimator, you will be crucial to the business by aiding in the pricing of services to offer customers the best solution. We are looking for a team member who is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and enjoys quantitative problem-solving. You will be able to advance your skills to prepare yourself for future endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
Review specification and control schematics.
Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment suppliers and follow up to obtain written quotes.
Create detailed scope letters and proposals.
Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals.
Provide accurate estimates and proposals; help to ensure team members do the same.
Partner closely with our operations and engineering teams to provide the best solutions and pricing.
Play a key role in the selection of contractors.
Qualify opportunities and develop bid strategies.
Train, assist and mentor less experienced Estimators on the team.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience with Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ Years of experience with Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls.
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Experience with sales tools and software, such as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and estimating software, Bid Tracer.
Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions.
Ability to solve challenging financial and accounting-related issues.
Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization, and time management.
Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with customers and coworkers.
Self-motivated and a passion for continuous improvement.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Solid experience presenting ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers.
