This is a rare opportunity to join the Carrier team as a direct hire. As a Logistics Team Leader 1 you will be responsible for supporting the materials operation in a distribution environment.

This position works Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 12:00pm with overtime. Schedule may change based off business conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment

  • Knowledge to secure trailer for loading/unloading

  • Document, resolve turn backs

  • Process OS&D, file freight claims

  • Following standard work for your area of responsibility

  • Locating methodologies

  • Knowledge to cycle count drive discrepancy to RRCA

  • Knowledge to complete PI prep and execution

  • Understand and execute all materials JDE transactions in area

  • Create standard work and work instruction

  • Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Knowledge to perform all job functions within your area of responsibility

  • Train new employees, manage work flow and coordinate manpower

  • Knowledge to perform incident investigations, EH&S audits, 5S audits and PIV observations

  • In compliance with UOI’s/POI’s affecting materials

  • Coordinate special projects

  • Effectively problem solve, communicate effectively and consistently

  • Work with employees on the floor to ensure quality work

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 2+ years MS Office 365 Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, MS Teams, & One Drive

  • Must possess or be able to pass a Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Driver certification

  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 35lbs.

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree preferred

  • Experience in a high volume distribution environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
