About this role
Entry-level Project management position that works closely with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and other members of the operations team to help ensure BAS projects are delivered on time, under budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in project strategy plans based on logical framework approaches.
- Coordinates with field supervisors on resource management and labor forecasting. Identify resource constraints and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues.
- Participates in project turnover meetings between Sales and the project team.
- Coordinates with engineering function to ensure material deviations are logged correctly and advanced to project management and sales personnel for review.
- Coordinates with sales and project management team to ensure project change orders are processed and booked timely.
- Active participant in the cost control process for projects, tracking key performance metrics and variances.
- Participates in monthly project reviews and forecasts.
- Coordinates monthly project billing with the project management group.
- Perform “actual vs. estimated” analyses and identify variances, reasons for variances, and mitigation steps.
- Manages subcontractor disbursements in conjunction with project management and business management functions.
- Reviews subcontractor invoicing and change orders for completeness and agreement with project scope and schedule progress.
- Professionally represent Automated Logic in meetings and always be proactive in defending the company’s best interest.
- Coordinate internal and external project closeout and required documentation.
- Other ad hoc reporting and tasks as required by operations manager.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years’ experience in the construction industry.
- 2+ years’ of experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 20lbs.
- Ability to be insured for driving company vehicles or personal vehicle on company behalf
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering or construction management
- Knowledgeable of construction and project management common practices
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal skills)
- Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Experience in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
