This is a first shift position with potential for overtime and weekend hours as needed. The scheduled hours are 6AM to 2:30PM. Flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble units using various hand and power tools according to EH&S protocols.
Ability to read schematics/blueprints and/or standard work instructions, including access to windchill.
Performs a variety of functions following prescribed procedures in product testing and assembly.
Assemble components as required on time and according to quality specifications.
Ability to identify improvement areas and effectively communicate ways to implement change.
Maintain the cleanliness of workstation and assist with entire department housekeeping.
High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
Willingness to learn and comprehend multiple unit types within Final Wire.
Mandatory overtime and weekend hours are frequent and may be assigned as needed.
Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork are required.
Moving units sitting on aergo tables.
Working at heights of 15 feet on top of units while harnessed.
Using a hoist to lift heavy components into place to attach to the unit.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to assemble components using various hand and power tools according to specifications
Ability to read blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments
Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches
6+ months of experience in manufacturing assembly with Carrier
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid mechanical background
Experience with AC, Compressors, oil separators, etc.
Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
