About the Role:
As the Container Direct Program Manager, you will spearhead a cutting-edge initiative where customers place orders directly with factories and ship goods to their warehouses. This role is pivotal in bridging customer needs with factory production, optimizing logistics, and driving automation to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction. You will act as the program’s architect, ensuring seamless coordination across stakeholders while innovating processes to scale the program’s success.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Program Leadership
Own the Container Direct Program, managing order lifecycle from customer placement to final delivery, ensuring alignment with factory schedules, container capacity, and customer deadlines.
Serve as the primary liaison between customers, factories, logistics partners, and internal teams (sales, finance, IT) to resolve conflicts and align priorities.
2. Order & fulfillment Coordination
Manage adjustments to sales order quantities, SKU mixes, and packaging configurations to maximize container space utilization.
Track production timelines and ensure alignment with shipment schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines.
3. Process Automation & Digital Integration
Partner with IT/digital teams to automate order workflows and real-time shipment tracking tools.
Streamline commercial documentation to minimize delays.
4. Strategic Program Growth
Develop incentives to boost customer adoption of the Container Direct Program.
Identify operational bottlenecks and propose cost-saving solutions.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements for cross-border shipments.
Mitigate risks related to production delays, customs holds, or logistics disruptions through contingency planning.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
3+ years of work experience in supply chain management.
2+ years expertise in direct-to-customer order fulfillment, logistics, or international trade.
2+ years of experience working in ERP systems (SAP), e-commerce software (Hybris), order management system (Salesforce), logistics platforms, and/or automation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business management.
4+ years in supply chain management.
3+ years expertise in direct-to-customer order fulfillment, logistics, or international trade.
Previous work experience with HVAC equipment.
Experience with ductless and VRF systems is preferred.
SCRUM experience.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills to align stakeholders with competing priorities.
Strategic mindset to balance customer needs with operational efficiency and profitability.
Certification in supply chain (CSCP, CPIM) or project management (PMP).
